Zoom Event - Decoding the Mysteries of Cats - Why Cats Do What They Do

Tuesday, March 196:30—7:30 PMOnline EventWiggin Memorial Library10 Bunker Hill Ave., Stratham, NH, 03885

In this Zoom presentation, feline training and behavior specialist Stephen Quandt will help us understand cat behavior from the perspective of the evolutionary and adaptive forces that help shape their lives. The presentation will discuss cats' relationship to hunting and resting through the Cycle of Predation which can lead to 'drive-by' ankle biting, play aggression, early morning wake up, and food aggression. He will also discuss their relationship with us as it is influenced by the Mother/Kitten relationship that they learned from their mother and that connects them to us through food needs, attention and comfort-seeking, and their status with their most favored and/or least favored people. Additionally he will discuss the relationship between Hunger, Appetite, Metabolism, and Exercise to all of the above.

The first half of this talk will be a lecture, and the second half will focus on Q & A, so bring your questions about your cats!
