UNH Professor Kimberly Alexander, PhD. will present on the subject of Civil War General Fitz John Porter. Porter was born in Portsmouth, educated at Phillips Exeter Academy, and graduated from the U.S. Military Academy (West Point) in 1845.

Kimberly Alexander is a lecturer in the UNH History Dept. and Director of Museum Studies. She has held curatorial positions at MIT Museum, Peabody Essex Museum, and Strawbery Banke. She is the author of "Hero or Coward: The Story of General Fitz John Porter."
