Margaret Hathaway's newest cookbook, The New Portland, Maine Chef’s Table, is a compilation of recipes and profiles of 36 of Portland’s restaurants and chefs. This is a follow up to the first Portland, Maine Chef’s Table, which came out in 2012. Both books are collaborations with her husband, photographer Karl Schatz.

Margaret will talk about the Portland the food scene, the trends in restaurants and the way people are eating in Maine, how Karl shot the photos for the book, and a little bit about the nitty gritty of putting together a cookbook (gathering recipes, scaling and testing them for a home cook, etc.). 

She will bring  a couple dishes from the cookbook to share, and copies of both cookbooks will be available for signing and purchase at the event.
