Mindfulness & Chocolate: A Program for Caregivers & Kids

Saturday, March 21:00—2:00 PMLibrary Meeting RoomWiggin Memorial Library10 Bunker Hill Ave., Stratham, NH, 03885

This interactive program invites children (ages 3-10) and their caregivers to explore the five senses through fun and engaging activities. We'll learn how to pay attention to the world around us, notice sensations in our bodies, and cultivate a sense of calm and focus. Oh, and there will be chocolate. Yum!

Wear some comfy clothes (Tom will be in sweatpants!) and optionally wear some bright colors and bring along a (small) stuffed animal for one of our activities.

The Presenter:

A long time resident of the seacoast (and Stratham!), Tom Jarvela can often be found running, checking out new playgrounds with his kids, or enjoying a walk in the woods – no matter the weather.

Since stumbling into meditation in 2021, Tom's journey with mindfulness has profoundly influenced his parenting and his own life. Blending personal practice and research, he strives for kind, helpful, and joyful interactions with his children, fostering strong bonds and gratitude.
